There are new changes to the CapTel program in Iowa. CapTel phones can now be obtained in two ways – by voucher or by direct purchase. In addition, businesses, agencies, and schools, as well as individuals who wish to purchase a second phone, may also purchase a CapTel phone. Read on for details!
There are 2 options to get a CapTel phone:
Iowa residents may qualify to receive a voucher that covers 95 percent of the cost of a CapTel phone, and any additional accessories such as a headset and/or ringer, through the Telecommunications Access Iowa (TAI) equipment voucher program.
