Job FAQs

What is a Captioning Assistant (CAs)?

CapTel provides real time captions (just like closed captioning you see on TV) for individuals with hearing loss that use our service. The captioning is provided by our CAs listening to one part of the phone conversation and repeating what they hear into a state-of-the-art voice recognition application that transforms those words into text in a display box on our clients' telephone. In other words, instead of our CAs typing everything they hear, they repeat what they hear into a computer.

What is your application process?

The most efficient way to apply for a position would be to download and complete the application. You can email, send, or drop off your application at any of our locations. You may also send us a resume, however a completed application must be filled out before an interview can be scheduled. The recruiting department will screen all applications.
